Welcome to Timpla Lab!
In Timpla Lab, you are a Lead Alchemist tasked with stabilizing volatile potions. Your goal is to merge all potion blocks on the grid until only one remains.
1. The Goal: Maximizing Stability
Your goal is to mix as many potions as possible to stabilize the lab. The experiment continues as long as you can keep merging blocks. The lab is considered stable when no more merges are possible across the entire grid.
2. Room Protocols (Game Modes)
Change the "Room Protocol" in settings to play different styles:
- The Step: Drag a potion block to move it exactly one tile at a time.
- The Slide: Drag a potion block and it will slide in that direction until it hits an obstacle or the edge.
- The Shake: Drag anywhere on the grid to slide all blocks simultaneously in that direction.
3. Alchemical Mixing Rules
Combine primary colors to create secondary and tertiary mixtures. Merging two potions of the same color will consolidate them into a single potion, helping you clear the grid.

Advanced alchemists can create complex Tertiary Colors by mixing primary and secondary potions:
- Red-Orange: Red + Orange
- Yellow-Orange: Yellow + Orange
- Yellow-Green: Yellow + Green
- Blue-Green: Blue + Green
- Blue-Violet: Blue + Violet
- Red-Violet: Red + Violet
4. Spawning, Scoring & Leaderboards
- Spawning: Every time you make a move that doesn't result in a merge, a new primary color potion will appear.
- Scoring: Earn points for every successful merge. Mixing more complex colors grants significantly more points!
- Global Leaderboards: Compare your research efficiency with other alchemists worldwide. Check the "Global Record" in the level select screen to see the top scores for each protocol.
Lab Tip: Planning your merges to create complex colors is the key to topping the global leaderboards!
5. Controls
- Undo: Made a mistake? Use the back-arrow button to revert your last move.
